Runner Plans to Run 469 Miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway

Ned Erickson, an avid runner, wants to run the entire length of the Blue Ridge Parkway. It will be a 469 mile trip and may take up to nine days. The reason for the run is to raise money for a special needs camp for children and to also raise money for the Blue Ridge parkway Foundation. His plan is to start running on August 9th and run everyday until August 17, 2014. His daily goal is 52 miles each day he runs. He will start near Cherokee, NC and run north to the Shenandoah  National Park in Virginia. Follow his progress at his website “We Run For Them”. See if he did it!
